Jacob Johnston discusses the University of Arkansas for Medical Science's switch from one EMR to the Epic EHR and how it is changing the way they do simulation. Presenter will explain the technology that has been and will be put in place in the UAMS simulation center and clinical skills center to train all hospital staff on the new EHR system. Topics will include computers vs. thin clients vs. zero clients, mobile devices, device integration, AV, and core network infrastructure, training environments, simulation environments, and playground environments. Participants will learn how to make sense of all the tech EHR lingo and take away ideas from our implementation to use at their own center.
