This presentation discusses the methods followed in analyzing numerous videos of a simulated routine nursing workflow performed by a number of registered nurses following the same simulation scenario. The aim of this study was to compare nurse and patient interactions before and after a change in nursing workflow, and to identify any latent potential infection risks introduced by this change. The recorded data is then displayed as a "heat map" which reveals correlations between movement through the patient space and infection control. This data can then inform changes that may be required to workflow, and or equipment placement.
